Thursday December 15th, 2011 - Our New Vessel has a Name!
Our new vessel now has a name. A large turnout of Shipco members came to the Boatshop to participate in a fun voting process to name her. Many deputations and quick speeches were enjoyed throughout the entire process, as individuals make “eloquent” and thoughtful pitches for their favourite. In addition, 3 Proxys from those who couldn’t make it were also received and were included in the vote. From an initial list of 9 solid names, the voting went a full 4 rounds with the “Top 3” of Wolverine, Scorpion, and Lynx making round 4. We Are pleased to announce that the Membership, through the voting process last evening, has decided that HMS Lynx will be the name of our new vessel, winning by a large majority on the final vote.
