Tuesday March 12th, 2019 - HMS Star

In the water on launch day

The Ship's Company has been very active this winter. On top of our regular ship's maintenance, we have taken on the project of constructing a vessel for a fellow reenacting group, "Earl of Moira". They have provided us with a fiberglass hull and given us the task of turning her into a historical gunboat. We have worked hard to get her done ahead of schedule so that "HMS Star" may participate in the upcoming Battle of Georgian Bay. Now we are almost done, with only some fine detail to work on. As soon as the snow is gone, we will put the mast up and fit all the rigging. You can follow us on facebook for more photos and updates on the Star. We are all excited to see another historical boat out on the water. Hip hip, Huzza!
